A message from the executive board
As the upcoming 2014-2015 year appraoches, we want to say that we are excited for the new changes to our council. The Executive Board will be working hard to provide quality programming for all the organizations in our council.
To any prospective member, we hope that you are able to find the organization for you. Our council is full of diversity and we hope that you will find a place where you belong.
Our Traditions
Our traditions vary from organization to organization, but some of our common traditions are strolling, saluting and stepping. Many of our organization perform their traditions at new member presentations and at yardshows.
Meet the Greeks
Spring 2015
Meet the Greeks will be held January 20, 2015 7:00pm-10:00pm in the Pegasus Ballroom in the Student Union!
Doors open at 7:00pm for students to talk to all the organizations in DGC. Performances begin at 8:00pm.
Diversified Greek Council
It is the mission of the Diversified Greek Council to promote unity, communication,
and cooperation among its member organizations and all Greek Letter organizations
and to promote scholastic achievement and assistance to the community.
DGC prides itself in having a distinct type of recruitment process. We host an event called Meet the Greeks, which allow for students to see all the organizations we have to offer.
Our council is full of different recruitment styles. We believe that because this is a lifetime commitment one needs ample time to choose the organization that would best suit them. This not only allows the organization a chance to get to know their potential members inside and out but also allows the potential members to get to know the organization's membership.
While many organizations were created as culturally based, membership background in these organizations are diverse. Potential members can join any organization no matter race or ethnic background.
